8th Annual Ride For Food

Food For Free's Ride For Food Team

Registration for the 8th annual Ride for Food, a super fun charity bike ride organized in partnership with local hunger-relief organizations, is now open! Will you ride for Food For Free? The money raised supports our mission increasing access to healthy, nutritious food for everyone in the community. Register now!

The ride will be held on Sunday, October 6th at Noble & Greenough School in Dedham. Riders of all skill levels age 14 and up are welcome.

How It Works: Signing up for the ride means you commit to fundraising at least $350 for Food For Free. Typically riders reach out to their personal networks, asking their friends, family, or coworkers to sponsor their ride. There are multiple route options, including a 10 mile, 25 mile, and 50 mile route, as well as the option to do a spinning class or ride virtually. All proceeds support Food For Free’s food rescue and hunger relief efforts. The goal is for each rider to fundraise $1,250 – but the minimum commitment is $350. Don’t worry! We will be there to help you reach that goal. Riders will also be provided a light breakfast, lunch, and a tee-shirt on the day of the ride. Plus, riders who reach their $1,250 goal will receive a special jersey!

The Ride for Food is accessible for all skill levels.

Here are all the different ways you can participate in the ride:

  • 10, 25, or 50 Mile Route: Whether you’re an avid cyclist or newbie, there is an option for your skill and comfort level.
  • 45 Minute Spinning Session: Don’t have a bike or prefer not to bike on the road? You can also opt to do a 45 minute spinning session on a stationary bike at REV’d Indoor Cycling at Legacy Place.
  • Virtual Rider: Want to support Food For Free but can’t commit to the ride? You can also sign up to be a virtual rider! Virtual riders commit to raising $350 and do not need to be present for the ride. Use code VIRTUALRIDER19 (case sensitive) when registering to waive the registration fee.
