Tim began his work with Food For Free in April 2020, distributing emergency food aid to the Boston area’s hardest hit communities during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the years since, he has taken a key role in overhauling data systems, modernizing the fleet, and building resilient teams to execute the organization’s mission. With a background in anthropology, Tim served earlier in his career as a forensic technician on the World Trade Center recovery project. He has also worked as a NYC taxi driver, chef, actor, and Columbia Law School administrator. He is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to equitable food access in his home state.

Kristen joined the Food For Free team in 2023 after having served on the Board since 2017. She has dedicated her career to working on pressing challenges facing our communities – from reducing poverty and inequality in the US to designing more sustainable waste management systems. She has held a variety of operational and strategy leadership roles, including at Ginkgo Bioworks, where she led the client management team providing COVID-19 testing to schools across the country through the pandemic, and as the COO of Opportunity Insights, a research center at Harvard focused on inequality and economic opportunity. She received both her Bachelors and Masters in City Planning from MIT. Outside of work, you can find her running along the Charles and exploring Cambridge’s best playgrounds with her husband and two daughters.
