Our team at Food For Free is closely monitoring recent information and cases of COVID-19 to keep our volunteers, our staff and the people we serve as safe as possible

There are significant unknowns around how children can spread this incredibly contagious virus to vulnerable populations. With this in mind, and following the lead of City of Cambridge officials, we are changing our volunteer policy to allow only individuals over the age of 18 to help us pack and distribute food. We are sorry for this change and for the inconvenience this may cause to those of you who have already signed up. Please know this is an effort to keep those we are serving at the least possible risk of getting sick.

This policy update may change some volunteers’ availability to help, so please check The Sign-up with recent openings for Tuesday and Wednesday this week! More slots for the rest of the week will come online soon.
